Eagles Football Outlasts Osceola in 4OT Thriller
The Eagles football team showed unbelievable toughness and resilience Friday night, defeating Osceola in four overtimes on a game-winning extra point by Caleb Filippone. The dramatic win moves IRCS to 1–0 on the season.
The offense was led by quarterback Gavin Galish, who displayed poise and leadership all night, putting the team in great positions to succeed. Playmakers Austin McDonald and Ocean Tutolate delivered key plays that kept the chains moving when the game was on the line.
On defense, Logan Cox and Landon Stewart came up with huge stops in critical moments, embodying the team’s grit and determination.
But the difference-maker was Caleb Filippone. With multiple touchbacks, clutch punts, and flawless execution in the biggest moments—including the game-winning PAT—Filippone proved why he’s one of the premier kickers and punters in Pinellas County.
If there was a player of the game, it was undoubtedly Caleb Filippone.
The Eagles will look to build on this thrilling win as they continue their season.
